Started as advice in maintenance
Q3 Concept B.V. started making maintenance concepts and advising technical services in 1998. This was done in the now familiar systems like Excel and Word and soon the question came from our customers if we also had software for this.
Practical knowledge
We responded to that question and formed a team of 3 then heads of technical services from 3 different sectors, process industry, machining and manufacturing industry. In these sessions, we found out the needs of the insight people want when you come in in the morning about such things as: "What breakdowns are left?", "What work is scheduled?", "Will I get all the scheduled work done?" and "Do I have enough inventory?".
The launch of the software
With the information from these sessions, we created a functional design and started developing a maintenance management system in Access, I'm talking about 2007. Several years later, with all the knowledge and experience gained, this was rewritten in Visual Basic, around 2009. Then we had a study done aar the use of Web-based systems for technical services, this showed that at that time it would still take 5 years for a maintenance service to get started with this, the target group was not yet ready for it and internet, wifi etc. was not really comfortable at that time.
To Web-based
Nevertheless, Q3 Concept started to set up a WEB-based maintenance management system and after a study of languages, PHP and Javascript were chosen, in retrospect a very good choice. For the 3rd time, with all the knowledge and experience gained, a system was redeveloped, the current Q3 CRM SAAS solution.
Further development
Every day we are working and developing the software now for a larger target group and activities have been developed such as consultancy, training and customer relationship management. Together with our current customers the package is improved and expanded every day, the knowledge is still in practice, they know exactly what they want and we can make it happen! Thus, the application is further developed from technical thoughts and practical experiences.

Meanwhile, we are leading the way in this sector with as a unique package a maintenance management system combined with real-time production data, AI incorporated in our application, algorithms and machine-learning to realize predictable maintenance, our vision on data & analytics, the way to strengthen the position of our customers with direct cost savings with a 5-year plan to be realized by 2026 as a target below.
