"I am the founder and owner of Q3 Concept B.V. and started the company about 20 years ago. After studying Mechanical Engineering, I studied Business Administration. Then I worked at Stork for 5 years. Here I was responsible for the task time calculations for the assembly of the printing lines, so that sales could issue a delivery date to the customer.
After this period I was approached by EMI who at that time was starting up a CD production in Uden. Here I set up the CD factory maintenance department, the technical parts warehouse and some related departments. This set-up was later adopted in similar other factories. After working at EMI for 5 years, I was approached by a company from a completely different corner: the automotive world. They asked me to provide insight into the structure and insights into the hours and costs of the maintenance department in particular.
At that point I started my own company for consulting work in the maintenance world. I got assignments from other companies who pretty soon came asking if I knew something to automate all the maintenance information. That's where Q3 started. Together with maintenance managers from the production, machining and process industries, a functional design was created with which the first Q3 was written. First in Access, then pretty soon in Visual basic and then developed again in PHP. A true web based language, fast and accessible. In each switch to PHP, the best features and learning processes were used each time.
For this reason, Q3 is an application developed from the technical thoughts and not from the software side. Q3 answers questions such as, "What do I need in the morning when I come in, in terms of insight into the schedule of work, the hours of the mechanic, the stock in the parts warehouse etc. etc. Continuous improvement in software engineering, innovation and feedback from our users guarantees the continuity of Q3's continued success. With our current team, we are ready for the future!
